Bootable file images

Bootable (kernel) image files are just that: ready-to-boot (kernel) images. Such files created by movitz:dump-image normally include a 512-byte bootsector that allows the image to be booted directly from a floppy. Furthermore, the image is Multiboot compliant, meaning it can be loaded by general-purpose bootloaders such as GRUB. By using GRUB, Movitz has been successfully been booted over ethernet (this is a rather convenient mechanism for booting real hardware directly off the image files created by movitz:dump-image without having to fiddle with floppies etc).
