Rejecting all mail to a list from non-members

To set a list up to reject mails, with a notification of the rejection, a list admin should execute the following steps:

  • Log in on the admin interface
  • Go to the "Privacy options" item
  • In the expanded "Privacy options" list, select "Sender filters"
  • In the second line of the options table (option: "Action to take when a moderated member posts to the list") select "Reject"
  • In the text box below the radio button "Reject", enter a message which will be sent to the sender why their message was rejected
